I have 104Kmi on my C-MAX (Hybrid, not Energi) and never put a dime in except for routine maintenance - if possible like Paul said I would trade it back and either get a newer C-MAX or a Prius sedan.. seems like that car has issues with the charging electronics or battery. To maximize battery health, we recommend setting a charge level of no higher than 90% for everyday charging. Note: This step can only be completed through the FordPass App. Log in to the FordPass App. Go to the Vehicle tab. Choose Charging. Select Charge Settings. Go to Preferred Charge Times. Select the location you want to manage. Adjust: The Toad Charge = $80 appears to be a 10 Amp maximum output which would be able to keep up with about a 120 Watt load. Most times you get what you pay for. :) By directly paralleling the C-Max and MH batteries, your MH voltage regulator is now trying to regulate two batteries as one AND the C-Max battery can also supply load to the MH.
It’s a big leap up in capacity and cost from the 1.4-kWh battery used in its sister ship, the regular $25,995 C-Max hybrid. The larger battery is there to give the Energi something the C-Max

The C-Max Energi often has its battery fully charged daily, and rack up 15,000 potential charges to reach 300k miles. Of course, it's not often people charge it up twice in one day, so that would take 41 years, but I've certainly charged it fully twice in one day, sometimes 3 times.
Recharging the C-Max Energi’s depleted battery pack takes approximately seven hours on a 120-volt charger; better to find a 240-volt unit that can do the deed in a more reasonable 2.5 hours.

My 2019 Ford Fusion Energi is going through the same thing right now. Went from 20-22 miles per charge- maybe 18-20 at the least in the winter- to 11-15 miles per charge. I only have 38,000 miles on this 4 year old car. The dealership told me that the battery needed a $500 manual charge.
I noticed that sometimes when I get home, my C-Max battery is pretty low on charge (maybe 1/5 or 1/4 charged). I was thinking it would be nice to charge that battery up over night. But I'm not interested in a bigger battery like the Energi. I simply want the Hybrid's battery to get charged.
