I had an issue on my 690R with the oil pressure light coming on intermittently while the bike was cold, KTM dealer checked all the same stuff and pressure tested, all ok but the light still came on from time to time. Turned out to be a fault in the wiring harness, KTM replaced the whole harness

IMHO the choice of 5th and 6th ratios on the 690 are too close. The difference between gears should not be smaller than 1.2, preferably 1.25. A good drop from 5th to 6th would allow cruising/economy/moderate RPM at highway speed, then dropping back to 5th for overtaking/top speed. lDa4St.
